Beautiful ancient castle dating back to 994 A.D. built during the centuries also with contributions by Filippo Brunelleschi. Hosts contemporary art exhibitions and guided tours of the castle. It's an ancient medieval fortress that you can reach also by bike or walking from Poggibonsi. From the Cassero's fortress in Poggibonsi you can go down by the hill and enter in a new path in the countryside that arrive directly in the village of Staggia Senese. Here you can visit this small authentic fortress and also if you like to walk you can reach Monteriggioni through the famous Francigena's pilgrimage route.
