This airfield is situated on top of Spread Eagle Hill above Compton Abbas, 811 ft above sea level with views over an AONB and towards Shaftesbury. Flights available in vintage aircraft and flying lessons - check their website for booking requirements. Café/restaurant and bar if you just want to enjoy the views across Dorset and the aircraft taking off and landing. Always plenty to see on sunny days. 'Compton experiences' available. About 10 miles from Blandford.
