Camels Hump is an iconic mountain in VT and it always has been. It has an unmistakable profile. It is also a demanding and highly rewarding climb to the summit, providing breathtaking 360 degree views of VT, NY, and NH.
Camel's Hump (seen from the cabin) is one of the best hikes in Vermont. Not technically challenging, but it's a great work out. The views on a clear day are outstanding. The trail head is about a mile and a half from the cabin. Please make sure you return on the correct trail! You don't want to end of on the west side of the mountain. Not recommended for small children

Very popular in the fall, go early. Much more serious hike, allow 3-4 hours. Over 50? Bring hiking poles for knee support on the way down. Still my favorite.
