You read that right! Smack dab in the middle of Indiana is a super cool Tibetan Culture Center. Worth the visit!

The Monastery established by late Thubten Norbu, HH Dalai lama's brother is open to visitors from 9am-5pm daily. It has a wonderful hiking trail and you can sit and meditate within the temple or study at the library. There is a gift shop for those interested in Tibetan Buddhist books and jewelry.

Very cool Tibetan monastery. The family of the Dalai Lama lives in Bloomington.

Amazing community. Bloomington has a little-known but very strong connection with the Tibetan emigre community. The Dalai Lama's brother was a professor at IU!
