Certain bookings made by guests resident in the UK are subject to the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018 (UK). Certain bookings made by guests resident in the EEA are subject to the Package Holidays and Travel Trade Act 1995 (Ireland), which implements the EU’s Directive (EU) 2015/2302. We refer to these UK and Irish laws here as the “Package Travel Laws”.
If,
- after selecting and paying for one travel service, you book additional travel services for your trip or holiday during the same visit to the Airbnb Platform; or
- you book additional travel services for your trip or holiday via a link provided to you by us not later than 24 hours after receiving confirmation of your initial booking with us,
you will NOT benefit from rights applying to packages under the Package Travel Laws. Therefore, Airbnb will not be responsible for the proper performance of the individual travel services. In case of problems please contact the relevant service provider.
However, if you are resident in the UK or EEA and you book any additional travel services in the manner described above, the travel services will become part of a linked travel arrangement. In that case Airbnb has, as required by the Package Travel Laws, protection in place to refund your payments to Airbnb for services not performed because of Airbnb’s insolvency.
Please note that this does not provide a refund in the event of the insolvency of the relevant service provider.
