Street 14 has a great "Astoria" vibe. It opens into the Commodore Hotel, which is the first place I ever stayed in town (nicely renovated w/ small rooms & bath down the hall). Street 14 is owned by a sweet couple who moved from Germany after getting their PhDs, now they are devoted to the "farm to table" model. They bought the coffee shop and quickly turned it into a bakery. Now they offer lunch and dinner a few nights a week. During the summer I would recommend getting a reservation for dinner. :-)
